Mental Health and Children

by | Jun 13, 2022

Long gone are the days of kids climbing trees, ditches, playing tig, even simple things like playing the airplane with daddy. 🧗‍♀️
With technology taking over our little ones lives, they tend to not get outdoors just as much and explore, thus building some base fitness core strength and grip strength. I’m not saying this is the case for all kids, but I know my own two don’t be out just as much as I would like, and technology does take over at times 💻
Exercise comes in many forms, it doesn’t have to be in a gym, going for a run or hike. Making exercise fun for kids and distracting that it is actually exercising can come with a whole host of benefits. One of the major overlooked benefits of exercise, not even just for kids but for everyone, is improvement in mental health, confidence and body image.
Exercise releases endorphins, those happy little hormones which leaves a general feeling of happiness for hours after.
Sense of achievement ✅
Stress relief ✅
A break from the pressures of life ✅
Who doesn’t like that feeling?
➡️ Get your children outdoors 🍃
➡️ Encourage your children to do plenty of physical activity 🤸‍♂️
➡️ Set a good example, or your children will copy most things you do, whether you like it or not 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦
